Writing from within a hamster ball

Lucy Wightman Writing a book is hard business. Every morning I get to it, often just tapping out one or two sentences before closing the file. Then, days like today, I can go off on dozens of forgotten tangents before deciding to get back to what make some more immediate money.
It’s like reaching out through a giant hamster ball. I can say this with confidence rather than rely on imagination because I was actually inside of a hamster ball. Look, here, I’ll prove it.

It was padded with pockets of air sealed in by a thick, smooth plastic. And then there was another layer, with one birth canal for escaping. The purpose was to roll it and beat the opponent, which, in this case was a franchisee for Games 2 U, and I lost. But getting back to the point…
How to know what crumbs are worthy of this grammatical, verbal torture is a porblem for me. How do I choose what might interest you, a potential, future reader? There is also the matter of it all being too much and then I quickly make the notion boring.
I let go of any other purpose other than I would like to have one back tooth replaced and be able to pay my vet bills.
