You were right to question....now there should be accountability. I find myself thinking of your "What If" entries you posted in the past. "What If" Torri had received help immediately. It's agonizing.....

'The standard for non-initiation of resuscitation to a patient is set out in Administrative Requirement 5-515 and Appendix C of the Statewide Treatment Protocols, both of which took effect Februaury 1, 2005.'

Give me a f@@@#### break! Here is a protocol.. do everything possible to save life even when you are not sure it may help because you never know!!! This isn't a matter of textbook.. IT IS A LIFE!!!

well said Joanne. So she was "ashen, pulseless and breatheless" , so what!!! I attempted to resuscitate quite a few patients who presented that way and worse. You just don't give up, especially when they are young and the trauma just happened. Your not God, your someone who took an oath to try and save lives.
You pump and breathe for everyone, all the way to the E.R then let the doctors make the decision to stop.
Sounds like passin' the buck to me....
Luc, I know this sucks big time for you. I am so sorry for your pain, wishing there was something I could say or do.
Know I love you and am here for you. Hang in there, kiddo
stay safe, stay strong

I am sure this post will be deleted but I just wanted to give you the prespective of how it works when an accident of this magnitude occurs.
Yes it was a shitty tragedy and maybe she could have been saved. I am not trying to say there was no hope of helping her.

Here is the rule. You save the living first. You save the three grils that were breathing first. Then you try to save the non breathing. Sorry but that's what they do.
