Thanks Shirls!!
Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 08:53AM
Shirley started by filling her nice car with dirt, roots, pots, plants, flowers, seeds, tools, food and a hummingbird feeder. Her arrival was quite a site. Determined to get me back into the swing of spring she directed our four hour effort and then it was up to me.She made a second trip with more colorful things. Then other friends donated living treasures. I have always been a collector of rocks but I like doing things with them. Otherwise they get a little restless. I love the numbers idea!
A lot of rocks goes a little ways!

WOW LUCY!!! GORGEOUS!!!
absolutely beautiful!!
I especially love all those stones.....beach?
Lucy-
I have collected rocks since I was little. I carry them home from all my travels. It is one of those funny things that I never share. I had a club of kids at school all with the same admiration for them. We called ourselves the rock stars:) This looks beautiful.
Shirley of course it does! Your "stock" is above and beyond. <cough cough> as for the stones and their origins they sure do look like beach rocks that were stranded onto people's ocean porches, therefore making it possible for me to have them. Sue you will be seeing it in person. Maybe by then the grass will grow.
Looks awesome.
I think you should paint numbers on the bottom of the rocks....and visitors get to pick a rock and try to see if they WIN.
Or you could always just play WAR with the indians on the other side of the fence......
!!! it looks even better now
Beautiful Lucy. Can't wait for a Garden Party!
Wow.....Lucy I had no idea you were working on such a project! Come on over and get some more garden stuff...I've been digging for a while here! I have things that need homes!
And a big hello to all of you on the blog. Check my page tonight for the whole story on where I've been....not fun. And I've missed this blog! Lucy actually sent me an email looking for me. Later.
I look at all the shiny rocks...and it does seem like a perfect match...best permanent multch! Did you coat each and every stone with poly? What makes them sheen so? So beautiful lucy...never would have known about the secret garden...thanx for sharin :) Do you keep the pianese petals...as art supplies?

Lucy, I, for one, would like periodic "updates" on your garden! I love to watch them grow!
